Our family just got back from a five day camping trip to Blake Island here in Puget Sound. We had a fire every night even though there was a burning ban in effect, the kids and grandkids loved it! It's just not camping without a fire. The Ranger stopped buy nearly every night to check out our fire, he would comment on what a great fire it was but that we were making his job more difficult, all the other campers were jealous, we were the only ones permitted a fire in the whole campground! My wife said this Campfire In A Can paid for itself in this one trip, and I agree. Thanks again for a great product.

Thank you very much. I can’t believe the excellent service. I will most certainly be recommending  your products to all my friends and anyone else who will listen.

 Howdy !

My name is Mike Steffen. You may know me as a writer and contributing editor for RV magazines over the years and as a public speaker at RV conferences and shows. When not working though I'm also a camping NUT !  My family, kids and grand kids treasure the times we can spend together around a campfire watching the kids toast marshmallows or campfire pies while the adults tell story's, truths and perhaps a few tall tails.
We have found over the last few years that more and more National, State and private RV parks limit or deny campers from having open campfires. When we show them the CampFire in a Can the first thing the fire police normally ask is "Where can I get one ?"
We have both the propane model that we use for much of our outdoor cooking and the wood burning model for campfire gatherings. These are not cheaply made units ! We got our first one about five years ago and it still looks new. Just as one camper to another, take a look and see what you think. By the way, this is my personnel testament to Camp Fire in a Can, NOT a paid promotion. Just thought ya should know.

Mike (The Old Ranger) Steffen

I just received my Campfire in a Can and it was well worth the wait. Your design and implementation were flawless.  Your promise was kept. A customer couldn’t ask for more.  Thank you for making this product. We will use it and enjoy it with our motor home.

We received the Campfire in a can late this afternoon, set it up, and enjoyed it for an hour or so out on our deck, before packing it up for our trip. We are very pleased with our purchase, and know we will enjoy it. I am especially pleased with your response and extra efforts on your part in resolving the damage issue. Thank you for your prompt and courteous attention. Thanks again. Kindest Regards,

Is your product being resold at Camping world as the “little red campfire” or something like that? It looks so much like your product.  I own one Campfire in a Can and have been very happy with it. I decided to buy a second for my smaller RV so I didn’t have to transfer them back and forth.  Unfortunately I was at Camping World and bought the “Little Red” thing and it was a terrible disappointment. It looks so much like the original Campfire In A Can but, it wasn’t. After a night of trying to get it to work I’ve taken it back and have since placed an order for an authentic Campfire in a can. Camping world is selling a knock off of your product. Yours is so much better made.

If you haven’t sealed the box yet, toss in a few business cards and I’ll be more than happy to spread the word. It’s certainly been refreshing to work with you company. It’s not often that you find someone willing to help and communicate as much as you folks have. Great job. Thanks.

Thank you for your immediate response. I was very impressed with the customer service side of your business; I felt that you were truly concerned about me and my feelings. I am in the customer service side at Boeing, so I understand the need and sometimes the frustrations of properly dealing with customers. Thanks for the tip about the regulator!

Hi, I purchased a campfire in a can so I could have a fire at night. Anyway, I hated duralogs, and duralog -type logs (smokey), but I loved the Envirolog. I’m a believer. Also, can I tell you what a cool invention is your campfire in a can. I love it!

Our Gas Campfire in a can arrived at noon today. We have already fired it up. Works great. Thanks a lot for getting it to us on time. We will have a lot of fun with it this summer.

I purchased a unit from you about a year ago and am extremely happy with it. A close friend is new to camping and I am buying this “house warming gift” for him and his wife (after seeing mine) considers it a “must have” for their new RV. I note that Camping world has what appears to be the same thing for $135 under a different name. I wanted the real thing though, and gladly pay a little more for a product that has exceeded my expectation. Congratulations on a great product.

Hey there,
Here's a pictures of me and my campfire in a can. I received it as a birthday gift from my brother. My friend and I brought it to the beach and had the best bottle of wine! I Love my Campfire in a can!

Hi
We recently purchased The camp fire in a can and are thrilled with the operation
and quality.
Thanks

When I was at the GNARVR in Redmond in July of this year I, after much thought, purchased a Campfire In A Can® unit (I got the works). While at the booth I conversed with the man about burning things other than Duraflame logs, damp or wet wood specifically, including unseasoned wood. The gentleman didn't know for sure, but told me that if I try it, to let them know what happens. And that's the reason for this email.

I only used my unit once while camping this last summer, and it was with a Duraflame log one time, and with matchlite briquettes the other. In both cases it worked fine, and then winter came and it was buttoned up until next spring -- I thought.

One day I decided, during a snowstorm, that it sure would be nice to have a campfire. And the rest is history so they say. Since that time, my friend and I have spent many a cold winter morn sitting out on the patio sipping coffee around a campfire (in a can, of course). What a pleasure.

Today, we did it again, starting with a cheapo Duraflame knockoff (Wal-Mart) and as it burned down, we added a few dry mill ends. Then my eye fell on some snow-covered pruned tree branches that I had piled in the backyard. They were pretty wet, and not seasoned much (trimmed four months before) but we cut chunks off anyway to give them a try. They were about one-inch-thick branch ends, plus some very wet twig material.

So how did they work? Well, to my absolute amazement, they burned all the way down to ash. I figured it was made possible by the incredible amount of heat trapped in the chimney area. We had a wonderful fire using old, damp branches (with a bit of help from a mostly-burned-down "duraflame" log.

Campfire In A Can® has my vote for the camping invention of the year. Wow, what a product!

I bought a campfire in a can years ago, and began using it in RV campgrounds all over the West. People walking by were so interested in it as we were burning it, that it got to where we couldn't enjoy it without being interrupted many times each evening! Thankfully, the Campfire in a Can® Folks sent us some business cards so that we could just hand the card to interested parties and go on with our enjoyment of the fire! I have been so happy with the operation and quality of it, that I purchased the gas version this summer for use in the locations where burning of wood/logs is prohibited. It is every bit as much fun as the original! Keep up the good work!

We picked up our campfire in a can in Buffalo at an FMCA rally a few years ago. It's great, and provides a quick, easy, not-to-worry campfire.  Keep those ideas coming.
Thanks, Barb & Russ

Hey, thanks for the note. I bought mine when you were in Las Vegas at your RV park and have loved the "Campfire In A Can®". My brother Terry thought they were great and bought one for himself and for each of his kids....too cool!
Many happy returns! Barry

I wanted to write to you to tell you how much I have enjoyed your "Campfire In a Can®" product. I have yet to take the "Campfire In a Can®" on a camping trip but you can be sure when I go I will tote it along. I have, though, used "Campfire In a Can®" at my home many times. I have burned wood, charcoal and envirologs. In every instance it has been easy to light, put off nice warmth, and set a nice tone for outside get togethers. After an evening fire...cleanup has been a snap! or, rather, 3 snaps, with no mess left anywhere on my property! Please accept my thanx. I will be recommending your product to anyone who'll listen.

I have to eat some crow on this one. The valves and gas line that collected ice and caused the fire to not operate properly were not the fault of your design. The propane tank that was first used did in fact run out of propane shortly after use. When I hooked up the new tank we purchased strictly for the fire place is when the problem began. After talking to you, I gave some thought and tried the tank with a BBQ grill and had a problem with propane leaking through the regulator. Apparently the youngster that was to have purged the new tank didn't really know what he was doing. I hooked up still another tank and the grill and fireplace worked fine. I took the tank to a reputable propane station and had it purged correctly. This seems to have solved the problem as the fireplace seems to be working great when we used it last night and the night before.

Thanks for your willingness to set things right. It reflects the quality of your company.
Mike

We have enjoyed our Campfire In A Can®. Wherever we camp, people have stopped by just to see what we are burning. We always give them your information and tell them how much we enjoy your product. We have also decided it would make great gifts for our camping friends and relatives.

We have been enjoying camping for 35 years and have been in situations many times when your Campfire In A Can® would have been handy to have. So we know that we will get a lot of use out of it. Thank you very much.

We saw you demonstrate the Campfire In A Can® at the FMCA rally in Albuquerque. Not being "impulse" buyers we ordered one in July and went on an RV trip in August. It worked admirably and is so versatile and well engineered. We tried out wood, charcoal and firelogs. The photo is its first use. The sites were not in campgrounds and it was easy to leave no trace of a fire. Good Job.

We just finished another two week trip to Colorado and enjoyed our Campfire In A Can® several times. We have had people over to our site to see it and they invariably take home your easy to remember website saying they are impressed and would like one. I was skeptical at first when we saw it in Albuquerque and Ed kept insisting on getting one. Now I'm happy we did as it has kept us outdoors more in the evening and is so easy to clean up. We even roasted marshmallows, something I haven't done for forty years.

We have been greatly pleased with the Campfire In A Can® that we bought. We've used it (with permission) at two campgrounds that would not permit "regular" fires… one on bare asphalt. The campground owners were charmed out of their boots!

I bought your Propane Campfire In A Can®, I just had to have it for our trip this summer. We did try it on our patio at home before we left. I do want to tell you it was everything you said it was, we were just totally satisfied. Thank you again for such a fine product.

I saw your Campfire In A Can® at an FMCA rally and my wife fell in love with it. We saw one in use that a friend had purchased and she has been on my case ever since to get her one. It took a lot of perseverance to save it for a Christmas present. Thanks

Solved A Big Problem For Me,
I bought one of these to use with my camper van. Way too often, when staying at a campsite, the fire pit is usually not conveniently located for me to reap the benefits of having a campfire, especially since I generally prefer to set up my camping stove and dining table close to my camper.

However, I used my portable campfire in a can for the first time this late October weekend up in the forest and was thrilled not only to be able to keep warm from the heat generated by a single Duraflame log (2.5 hours burn time). Of course, I also found I had enough time and light to dine by and then to clean up afterwards, while using only a small headlamp.

It was very satisfying to be able to not only control the location of my campfire but to now be able to exploit it for both my enjoyment and tasks.  I look forward to using this portable campfire to extend my camping season.

This is a very nice vertical campfire. It can keep a family of four nice and warm for about an hour or so on a single Duraflame log. Since the log is a waxy manmade product it burns very evenly and cleanly and you can get really close to stay warm. The real advantage, however , is that when it is closed, the ashes are completely sealed inside, and you don’t have to worry about getting soot on things when you put it away.

Hi, I purchased your original Campfire In A Can four or five years ago.  I have used it every summer and always enjoyed doing so. It’s a great product. Almost all my camping is on the ocean and over the years the hinges and handle on the red cover have rusted off. I keep it on with a bungee cord. The rest of the can is as good as new and has not been a victim of this rust. I have certainly gotten my monies worth out of this purchase. Here it comes. Would you like to replace my cover at no cost to me, at your cost to me or charge me what you will. Can I just get a new cover? I will be satisfied with whatever you decide. Thanks.

Bonjour, Last July I was camping with the family in the Niagara Falls area when I noticed my neighbours campfire. He was from Kansas and provided me with your coordinate. I think that with all the advantages that such a device offers and the preoccupations that most people have for the environment in general, it will surely gain in popularity. Your best advertisement is definitely making sure that people are able to see that little system in action.

Further to our many conversations over the past several months, it is indeed a pleasure to have this opportunity to test one of your Campfire In A Can models.

We are a camping family who over the last 15 years have owned and used a variety of camping arrangements including tents, trailers, a camper and most recently a Volkswagon Westfalia camper van.

Our experience over this time has taught us two very important things;

1)  Space is a premium commodity in short supply
2)  A good campfire is essential every night

We have enjoyed using the Campfire In A Can on several occasions and find it easy to light, simple to clean and compact to store.

Most of all, it provides a cozy fire with an inviting flame.
Many thanks for the use of your great invention over the summer.

With fondest regards,
Kent & Barb MacCarl
